That is really cool. I don't know what the tie in is with Mobile, but he has some sort of connection. I'm guessing something to do with the Gottfreids. He's given us a little pub several times over early on. He's had our football coach on a few times already before we even played our first FBS game.

I don't know about any connection to South, but he always puts helmets up for the broadcast. He always says that if someone sends him a helmet, he will display it.

I like him because he gives alot of respect to the "Mid Majors." Although i can't really listen to him this time of year because all it is is basketball.

Yes, pretty simple and low tech approach. I was watching the show on my DVR. Rewind, pause then take pic(cell phone).

Each school has to send a helmet to him. UL sent him a helmet with a letter from Coach Hud mid-year this past season. It was displayed and the letter read the following day and Coach Hud called in. He's been on Tim Brando's show a couple of times since then including before and after the N. O. Bowl. He has displayed the Ragin Cajuns helmet several times. Each SBC team should send in their helmets. You are correct, he does give a lot of respect to the "Mid Majors", perhaps because he graduated from ULM, which he proudly states. He also hates the BCS and calls for a play-off system.

I get that. I was just making the point that he gave us a fair amount of coverage while we were still considered "unclassified."
