It's hurt being a WKU fan this year up until today...WKU's two main rivals are MT and Murray state and after tonight those two teams will be a combined 39-2 , I'm very proud for both programs but I hope WKU finds its stride and pays MT back ....twice....WKU will be back

Haha, after suffering through years of lackluster basketball I understand. It was a good game, well-fought, and MT was just the better team. Were you at the game? What did you think of the referees? In any case the Raiders are flying high, can't wait 'till Thursday's game against Troy.
Also, I would have liked to see UM and MT play this year. Interesting matchup. But we don't, so we'll just have to see how the tournaments go.

I was at the game, yes. Honestly, every game I go to it seems like the refs make silly calls against one team or another. Usually its against us... tonight during the first half it was against MT. The refs always seem to leave me scratching my head about a call or three every game. Arrow said it right when he said y'all are a legit top 20 team and only aren't in it yet because... (he cut himself off there ). Good luck.

As many fouls as MTSU had, there were actually a few not called early in the game. For the most part they were consistent. Most fouls they called needed to be called.

doubt that will happen...we have a top 30 RPI. (and the CUSA tourney's in Memphis)

I've seen both teams play and while I think it would be a close game...I think MTSU is the better team and would win

Really? The one time in probably the last twenty years we'd have a legitimate shot at winning and you actually want to play us?
Not saying we'd definitely win by any means, but this seems like it would be a high risk low reward type game for the Tigers.

in what way? MTSU is sporting a top 60 RPI and a gaudy record...that said if it were played it would need to be somewhere neutral and on TV...say Nashville...Bridgestone Arena...on CSS or something.
it's not like we recruit the same type of players, and it would be nice to recruit Nashville...also, i think we could take MTSU...it would be a good game.

I'm not disagreeing with any of that and even if we were to win the game, it's not like we'd overtake you or even beat you out for any of the kids you're recruiting this year, but why give us that feather in our cap on what is already and incredible season?
If we had the type of season we're having and beat Memphis and Vandy in the same season, ten years from now we could be looking back at this season being the one that put Middle Tennessee basketball on the map. Nevermind the fact that the biggest hole in our CUSA resume has always been our MBB.

exactly...MTSU wouldn't be seen as a recruiting threat (like Tennessee) and Memphis enjoys playing TOUGH mid-majors like:
Gonzaga
Murray State
Xavier
(just a couple of examples)
as for CUSA, i think you're biggest obstacle would be Memphis football...no way we would want to recruit against MTSU football in Conference.

That's very true. Also, when's the last time Memphis came to the Murphy Center? We met in Nashville a few years ago, but that was a neutral site game, and the last home court game was at Memphis. I'd like to see an MT-UM matchup at MTSU.

Memphis wouldn't come to Murfreesboro simply because we don't recruit there, no upside for us...but we would play in Nashville to recruit there...besides, we have a good number of Memphis grads in Nashville.

the Nashville alumni chapter has several thousand members...Memphis had a large crowd last time we played MTSU in Nashville. (Memphis won 65-41...18,071 in attendance)
