I know baseball is not important to most UC fans, but UC has invested a lot of money (or at least, some investors have) into a beautiful new baseball stadium. Let's try to support the baseball team this year.

I went to the next to last game against UAB last year and the new stadium is a great place to watch a baseball game.

Judging from this article, the new stadium and the move to the Big East is helping in obtaining some better players.

I haven't looked at this year's schedule, but the problem that I have had in the past is that the majority of games are in the afternoon on week days.

I don't know how they expect many people to be able to attend?

It will certainly help that the games will be on campus again.

And the field has lights so I would expect to see quite a few night games.

Yeah, talking about my boys now. I can't wait to stop down and catch a game in the new palace they play in. I didn't get to make it last year when it opened, but will this year. That field is like a palace compared to the pasture we played on!

I hope they can get it turned around. They had a real nice team a couple years ago but slipped a little.

The new stadium is beautiful and I hope that they can put a competitive squad out there.

Records over the past three seasons:

15-40

26-29-1

34-24 (Third place tie in conference)

A preseason poll by C-USA coaches has us slated to finish 10th in the conference.

Hopefully, admission to the Big East and a top notch facility will take UC baseball to a new level.

I think Conference USA baseball is better than Big East baseball. Traditional powers (Tulane, ECU, Houston, So. Miss, So. Florida) compared to (Notre Dame? Who else has done anything for Big East baseball lately?) Just curious.

Can't beat those prices.

A family of four can see a ball game in a nice stadium for $20 or less!

No - it's still a CUSA schedule.

From what I understand the move the the big East happens after July 1.

For that price, you'd be an idiot for not going.

Seriously that's not bad. If they have some weekend night games and they serve beer, that sounds like a fun evening.

I'm a Bearcat baseball fan. One of the problems they're going to face is that fact that UC baseball has always been free in the past. I certainly agree that $75 for a season ticket and $5 for a game ticket are cheap, but I hope others agree.

They had an excellent recruiting year with plenty of locals. Plus they have most of the better players from last year returning. The last time they had this many locals they turned into a pretty good team with Kevin Youkalis, the Singer kid from Purcell, Chris Hamblin from Highlands, and the closer from Hamilton (Moak?) among others.

To be honest Brian Cleary needs to show some improvement in his program if he's going to stay at UC.

CUSA is a much tougher baseball conference than the Big East. Tulane is the preseason #1 team according to several publications and CUSA always seems to have 4-5 teams in the tourney field.

See you at the games.
