Harnish Prepping for NFL Chance
Great article in the Ft Wayne News-Sentinel.

Doubters don't keep Harnish down. It would have taken more than a sprained ankle to keep him out of his final college game.

That wasn't about to happen,” Harnish said. 05-nono

Quote from article:

Harnish was a steal. He came in playing well and when a knee injury inexplicably stole his starting job as a junior, he took it right back after one game through sheer will and competitive spirit.

How does a knee injury steal your starting job?

Basically Harnish didn't stat against ISU because they thought that he wasn't physically ready, not because Grady won the job. Josh the punter tried to say that on this board and basically got shouted down.

I know, I'm just making fun of the way it was written. I don't think the knee injury stole his job.

I am not a JK hater. Overall he was good for the program. Heck, if just would have done his job for one more week leading up to Detroit, then the biggest issue I'd have with him would be his poor judgement in talent in putting Grady in as our opening day starter.

I'll give some credence to Josh's thoughts but IMHO..........

CH started the next week after JK realized his error, not because of a sudden change (couple days later) in the condition of CH's knee.
He followed that with a couple nice outings vs Illinois & Minnesota ( almost 2 Big 10 wins on the road.)

Nice mention of NIU multiple times during Harnish's drive. To bad he is already taken out.

Very neat seeing Harnish on a team with guys from Boise, BYU, etc. Kinda surreal.

I like that he's been doing some work with Ryan Diem. Good to see Diem taking another former NIU player under his wing so to speak.

From the article: "After the game, Harnish signed with an agent, headed to Naples, Fla., and began working out with Colts offensive lineman Ryan Diem (a Northern Illinois grad) and others to prepare for his run at the NFL."

I don't know where this information comes from. Chandler was picked up at O'Hare yesterday morning so if he was in Naples it was for a few hours Sat. night.

Pretty sure the above "After the game" was after the Go Daddy Bowl Game.

I think the "game" was the GoDaddy bowl.
