That's a heck of a game in any league or classification. One of my old coaches is a principal at Strong. Next time I see him I'm anxious to get the inside scoop on Stetson. I think he'll be a good one.

If he has legit perimeter player skills at 6-5, then he is a handful at that level.

Three games in a row with at least 28 points.

Billings strikes for 57

Stetson Billings, Strong’s 6-5 senior who signed with UALR in November, scored 28 points in Tuesday’s victory over Norphlet.

That effort turned out to be his lowest point total of the week.

Billings scored a career-high 57 points in Thursday’s 89-65 victory at Bearden and followed with a 29-point game against Woodlawn on Friday.

Against Bearden, Billings scored 21 of his points in the second quarter and finished with six threepointers.

“He’s a great player, and everything he threw up there tonight went in,” Bearden Coach Bobby Hartgen told the Camden News. “They were playing at another level tonight. [Billings] would hit a three, and we’d try to go guard him and someone else would hit a three.”

And Shields said he is the kid that he expects to be out lock-down defender.

RE: Billings scores 57
If he scores 57, he won't have to play defense. That will be enough to win most games.
