In this election cycle...I agree. I was referring to the next one.

If the GOP fails to inject a good measure of the good doctor's policies into it's platform at the convention...I expect that he will turn loose the dogs and become the father of a new political party that will be a force in the next election cycle. Anyone that thinks this is preposterous in not thinking clearly. 1/3 of voters call themselves independent and a good portion of Dr. Paul's message is very attractive to this segment. Rand will be ready by then and there are others in the wings that also can carry the torch for liberty.

Quite possible. What if a new party decides to do things differently? For instance...Declare the ticket very soon in the election cycle and campaign for more than a year using mostly electronic media. It would be a cheap and very effective way to gain support...especially among young people. The CFL and the Paul campaigns have shown this could be the next evolution of politics.

No my point was that Ron Paul won't do anything to jeopardize Rand's future.

Yes...I agree. I was talking about the next election cycle. I don't see the good Dr. going 3pty this time. I see him founding a alternative party for another flag carrier of his vision.

It's re-elect the anointed one, or elect the R's anointed one. Their policies aren't far enough apart to change the current course of the country. I'm for letting the D's take the inevitable fall under their watch.

I'm pretty skeptical any political enterprise tonight. Burn it down, start over...
