MWC/CUSA map
Here is a map of the 17 teams left behind in the MWC and CUSA, assuming no additions or deletions.

IMO this map screams for a presence in Florida... FIU would be a great fit

Sorry UTEP, but that map screams for you to be in the west division.

Just filling in holes on the map, lets add MTSU, UNT, and USU and establish a floating university out in the pacific to connect Hawaii

What does the map look like if you add all the WAC and the Sun Belt too? :)

If you wait long enough the California schools just might do that for you...

Agreed. I would rather us stay in C-USA but with the incoming MWC schools closer to us, then we might have to just go westbound.

By looking at the map, USU looks like a good addition in the West and FIU/FAU would fit nicely in the East.

A thousand piece jigsaw puzzle?

One glaringly huge hole in that map, though.

That map represents some of the finest college football programs in America -- from sea to shining sea.

Sorry but FIU/FAU doesn't help at all in terms of geography. I guess they sort of help in recruiting and one more Eastern time zone school.

RE: MWC/CUSA map
Temple or FIU in the East. Shift UTEP to the west. Both sides have 9 teams, which allows four home and four road conference games with no crossovers. Two division winners play for the championship.

In basketball, play everyone in your division twice and two crossover games for 18 conference games.

Unfortunately, GSU, ODU, and Charlotte are still playing small ball. Temple fills every need of FB, BB, market, and geography. FIU would be the first runner up.

Might as well forget about Temple. That's a pipe dream in my opinion but I've been wrong plenty of times. Even if they get invited the BE will snatch them up out of spite.

I know I've picked on you before panama but it's all in good fun....seriously. If we've got to promote an FCS school I think it should be Ga St. I'd love to go to the Ga Dome and your b-ball looks pretty solid. Do you have a baseball team? If so are they any good?

This is a 32 school conference made up of CUSA, MWC, WAC, Sun Belt, and MAC schools.

The four divisions are the West, Central, South, and East.

In football, schools play each school in their division once (7 games) and then they play an 8th conference game against a seeded opponent in another division. The winners of the 2 highest seeded games play in a conference championship game.

Each year, the home teams for the 8th conference game flip across divisions. So, for example, one year the West has all the home games for the 8th game against the Central. The next year, the Central has all the home games for the 8th game against the West.

This conference gets you 24 states and schools in the metro area of many large markets: Philadelphia, Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, San Jose, etc.

Conference travel seems reasonable for all schools. All schools would be in the conference for all sports.

I think this conference could get a pretty good TV deal. The networks that are desperate for college sports programming because they are locked out of the bigger conferences would either need to pay well for this conference or be left without programming.
