Only a liberal would frame the restricting of destroying innocent human life as hurting job growth.

I don't know how the width of a hallway or the size of an examination room equates to better treatment. This sounds more idological than practical. I wonder if they'll apply the same rules to oral surgeons?

These are *medical* facilities? you don't think that the hallways should be wide enough for a gurney to round a corner? What if something goes wrong with a procedure and EMT's need to get a person to a hospital fast?

We probably wouldn't be having this discussion except for that fact that this is an abortion clinic because EMT's have to get to emergency victims in crashed cars and lots of other tight spaces. In all fairness, the rules should apply going forward to any new clinics or when existing buildings undergo major contruction or a rehab. Take the abortion thing out of the equation and I think you'd agree this sucks.

No I think an office that performs surgery should be up to specs for an ambulatory surgery centers (where they do surgery) instead of doctor’s offices where at most they will lance a mole/freeze a wart..

Now ask yourself this, if abortion was removed from this discussion would you really be against having surgical centers be treated like ambulatory surgery centers rather than a place you go to get the flu shot?

I'm not for abortion regardless what the other thread might indicate so my opinion isn't skewed by that notion. Lots of procedures happen in doctor's offices with this one being more or less complicated. If I feel uncomfortable going into an office the size of a shoebox then I might be obliged to go someplace else.
