RE: Great post by BTH about Brady
I can't find fault with Coach Brady over that comment. Yes we played great, but we were still fortunate to win at the end. We played great against ORU and a 70 foot heave beat us. We were unfortunate that night. We scored one more point than ASU the other night.
How you do it doesn't normally matter. In a close game, someone always misses or makes a shot that wins or loses the game. That's the nature of the game. You can call it anything you want. Fortunate or unfortunate. Lucky or unlucky. The only thing that matters is the "W" or "L" when the final buzzer goes off.

I don't fault him for that. He just applies "luck" inconsistently. Unlucky when we lose, good when we win.

RE: Great post by BTH about Brady
We were fortunate to outscore ASU 14-7 in the last 6:22.
Some on the asu board say we were lucky that asu missed those two free throws and then lucky the last-second shot did not go in.
Like BTH says, depends how you look at it. If asu was a good free throw shooting team, then maybe we were lucky. But they aren't. They shoot 60 percent. UALR shoots 70. asu is lucky we shot only 7 of 14 from the line. Actually, asu should be happy. They shot 66.7 percent from the line for the game. That was an improvement.

Call it a karmic correction. In retrospect, I'd take a close loss to ORU for a Win in Jonesboro.

Can't disagree. Any conference win, especially against ASU, is better than an OOC win. Unless of course it was against Kentucky.

Pretty ironic. We lose on a 75 foot shot against ORU. Then win because ASU misses a 2 foot shot. I would take that trade any day of the week.
