RE: UC in RPI Rankings
All this just goes to show how fooked the RPI is. They give 1.4x credit for road wins and 0.6 for road losses and it inflates all these mid-majors who get dismantled by an OOC slate of BCS teams, yet can win in their conference. It's CBB's version of Osamanomics. "Share the wealth" It's a disaster.

Southern Miss lost 2 straight games to RPI +200 teams last week then barely beat +150 Rice yet has an RPI in the Top 15. All based on an SOS made up of Top 80-180 mid-majors. Meanwhile...Cincy is 5-3 this year against AP Top 25 teams (beat AP #8, #11, #11, #17, #22) and will still be questioned by some.

I typically use live-rpi because it updates within minutes of a game ending.

I know Yancy missed the dunk, but I had to choose that pic...I don't think I've seen someone actually make the Jumpman logo in person...

He's a grizzly bear, with the grace of a ballerina. Had it not bounced out, 5/3 would have exploded.
Can't blame anyone for choosing that pic.

RE: UC in RPI Rankings
Great numbers from Lance:

RPI movement
UC from 58 to 40

Select company
UC has 5 wins over Top 25 RPI teams
ONLY Michigan St has more with 7

Others with 5 wins:
Duke, Kansas, Ohio State, Michigan
Others of interest:
4: Indiana, Syracuse, Georgetown, Wisconsin
3: Kentucky, North Carolina, Marquette, Missouri
2: Louisville, Baylor
0: Xavier

UC's 5 Top 25 RPI wins
Equal to combined wins by UK (3), UL (2) and XU (0)
Equal to combined wins by NC (3) Baylor (2) and Gonzaga (0)
More than Florida (1), XU (0), Gonzaga (0), UConn (1), Cal (0), Vandy (1) and WVU (1) combined

Strength of schedule
There are 344 D1 schools
UC's SOS is 75
That SOS is better than Gonzaga, Virginia, California, Missouri, Oregon, BYU, Arizona, Creighton, Washington, New Mexico

I hope the people in Indy are smart enough to know the facts and place the Bearcats no worse than 5 or 6. Cats are top 25 team and deserve to treated like one.

RE: UC in RPI Rankings
I like the fact that after selection, the talking heads are going to be saying how UC is going to be a dangerous team and may play above their seed. Hopefully then end up as a bracket breaker.

RE: UC in RPI Rankings
There once was a time when the committee considered how good a team was playing RIGHT NOW and let slide early season woes.

I'll take my chances with the 'Cats this year.

RPI = 42 as of this morning.

Saw today that Southern Miss was #25 RPI at the same time they were 12-6 in CUSA. Huh?
