RE: Whatchya Drinkin?
#150 & 151 were Stone mocha IPA and Stone bourbon barrel aged arrogant bastard.
Former good but not the type IPA I like to drink. The bbaab is a nice sipping strong ale but way short of KBS. Also surprised Founders Breakfast Stout is out and I will have one tonight out of the case I bought. Love that Breakfast Stout.

RE: Whatchya Drinkin?
Just to get Chi bb off the board I will critique my new beers since Oct on a scale of 0 to 5:
Southern Brewery - Maui IPA 5+, Imp Stout 3
Scofflaw (another GA new brewery) - basement IPA 5+, blindside IPA3
Stone - Ruination orange and vanilla 3
Cigar City - Jai Alai oak aged 3 (disappointing)
Founders - Lizard of Koz 2 (I guess I just don't like blueberrys)
Boulevard - Bourbon barrel quad 3
If you are ever in the Atlanta area try to find Scofflaw. You will not be disappointed.

Just did a Deschutes Black Butte vertical with the latest version plus the 3 previous.
Black Butte XVI and XV were great.

Founders Sumatra Mountain brown ale. Very good. I was checking reviews on Beer Advocate and there was a reviewer with an NIU avatar. Is SmangTown on this board?

RE: Whatchya Drinkin?
Besides some of my old Georgia favorites picked up these great beers in Athens on my way to mtns: Scofflaw double jeopardy dipa, Southern Brewery war pig dipa, Wicked Weed NC ipa, Nanthalla NC octoberfest. Also found Prairie Artisan Ales Okla imaginary friends ipa.
My wife goes for the mountain views, apples, tomatos and sweet potatos, while I go for the trail hikes and beer.

RE: Whatchya Drinkin?
Good call to resurrect this thread!
Last night I had a Leinie's Pomegranate Shandy. Today, I have a collection from New Glarus of their Two Women, Staghorn, and Moon Man beers. Plus of course some Spotted Cow.
Had a Sapporo last week. Not sure why, that's just not a good beer and wasn't any better than when I had it before. Oh well.

RE: Whatchya Drinkin?
Winter (even in Florida) is a great time for stouts and porters. Along with my regular Founders breakfast stout, backwoods bastard, Sumatra mountain and porter, I was able to try Founders Canadian bacon stout, Oskar Blues Imperial barrel aged stout, Funky Buddha
maple bacon coffee porter. These were all great but my favorite and reasonably priced is Ballast Point High West bourbon and rye barrel aged porter. It is easy drinking but watch out it is 12% alcohol. Might be my new favorite craft beer.

Nice beers Pantone, Funky Buddha/Cycle/AngryChair/JWakefield are all killing it down in Florida. Hard to come by those here in Illinois.
Get to your local Binny's and pick up St. Errant's Contrapasso Vanilla & Coffee Stout immediately. Big, thick, full bodied beer that will knock you on your ass with flavor. $15.99 and currently just sitting on the shelf, it's a can't miss here in Chicago.
This years Bourbon County Stout is imo one of the best batches Goose has ever brewed, as well as the 12oz canned barrel aged Revolution, both readily available at your local liquor store.

RE: Whatchya Drinkin?
I'm glad I bought "too much" Bourbon County. As if there was such a thing. I'm enjoying them now.
