I think Taggart needs to start taking more

I think Taggart needs to start taking more
shots. He plays very hard. Rebounds, plays tough defense and sets screens, but he hardly ever shoots. I know he's a freshman, and his role will expand as time goes by, but we need all our players to be a threat on offense, and right now, he's either told not to shoot, or is just hesitant and allowing everyone else to take the shots. But I've seen him shooting three's in warmups, and he is probably as good or better than anyone when he has time to get the shot off. Maybe we'll start to see him taking more shots pretty soon.04-cheers

It's probably pretty simple. He seems to have the basketball smarts to discern that shooting shots he doesn't feel comfortable with (bad shorts) hurt the team more than help it.

I'll agree with that. And I think as he matures and gains confidence, he'll start taking more shots when he has them. But you're right. He normally doesn't force shots, which our coaches love in a player.

But I still think he is going to be a physical type 3, more so than we have had in the past. Most able to post up his man.
