Happened a decade ago for Seton Hall against Georgetown to send the game into OT. Refs didn't notice it, coaches didn't, even ESPN didn't notice it until someone called it in to the production studio.

If it happened now while being broadcast on ESPN the next day's news cycle would kaboom.

it wasn't a power play, the cajuns pulled their goalie for the extra man. good thing they won otherwise they would have lost that point you get for getting the game to overtime.

The timing looks bad, but last night was the final straw. And not due to what happened on the court. He was fired due to a lack of performance at a school with a very proud mid-major history of winning, and more importantly he is costing them $$ with no butts in the seats. They had $1 tickets last night and only drew ~2,100 I believe. The fans started staying a way to get what they wanted, a fired coach.

Not to mention rumors floating around Kentucky for the last year of him having some flings with coeds, and this has been coming for a long time. The guy knew the rope was around his neck. How often does a coach take a $100,000 pay cut and keep his job? That's what he did in March and he still got the axe.

The Toppers have had a rough ride since football moved up to I-A (FB is 9-26 in the Sun Belt since 2009)

Those refs are either going to lose a good chunk of change, or their jobs...
