Who cares about ECU? I thought this was the Big East forum?

Yes, it is nice to finally be in a BCS conference, but I'm also happy it's the Big East. I feel we have a debt of gratitude to the BE administration that had enough confidence in us to invite us and to those schools that are happy to have us. I'd love to see this conference stabilize and prosper.
SMU fans for the most part, I think feel the same way.
Count me in with that sentiment. Boise State owes the Big East a lot for pulling the program out from the non-BCS mire. This will ultimately help us keep our coach around longer, expand our stadium, and hopefully bring more money into our academic programs. Thank you Big East!

I think you'll find, and I truly believe it, that the University of Houston is exactly the kind of committed partner that the Big East needs and wants: grateful, honest, trustworthy, loyal. . . and our football team doesn't suck . . .
But mostly, we know what is is like to be on the receiving end of a shaft wielded by UT and have sworn it will NEVER happen again. Of all the deserving teams long left out of the BCS discussion, we are at the top of the list who very, very, very likely would tell UT to go F itself if the Big XII came calling. At least, I and about 250,000 loyal Coogs would like to hope so.

As for UCF, I don't think the "being snubbed" term is adequate. I've seen reactions (from the sane) ranging from cautiously pessimistic to enthralled, with the average falling into blatant optimism. We are excited, if only for the chance to play USF annually, not to mention the 10x revenue money we will be receiving. Those that matter (myself included) are excited for the boost in recruiting ESPECIALLY since the South Florida scene in recruiting may have a large void needing filled (i.e. Miami).
For the TL;DR. UCF is stoked to be a member of the Big East.

Pretty sure we had our head coach yesterday, and our top skill player (Charles Sims) will return.
I know you're blindly hoping we are going to fall off, but it's not going to happen. We've recruited well (top class in CUSA in '10 and '12), return the majority of our defense, 4 of 5 starters on the OL (and 9 of the top 10 on the depth chart), and Charles Sims. Not to mention some of our very talented, underclassmen WRs (Daniel Spencer, Ronnie Williams, Gino Collins, Dewayne Peace, Darian Lazard) that in limited time this year were fantastic, they just didn't get much playing time because they were playing behind two of the best WRs in CUSA/UH history.
UH and ECU are, quite simply, on two different levels right now. I don't really know why you're trolling us, anyway. USM (another program on a different level than ECU right now) is who you should be worrying about catching, both for next year and long term. The CUSA board is -> that -> way.
To hell with you and your arrogant post. I am going to enjoy watching your team get punked in the Fick just like the last time you were here. Payback is going to be a bit*h.
To hell with me? Good to see some of your fan base can dish it, but the second we dish it back, it instantly gets all too real, and it's "to hell" with us. It's an all too familiar pattern lately, but it's to be expected, I guess. Whatever.
I still wonder why so many ECU fans are trolling this board, or why they even clicked this thread to begin with.
I can take it just fine, but your "we are on 2 different levels" garbage is just that, garbage. This coming from a fan of a team that just last year went 5-7. You ain't Boise. If they wanted to say things like that they would be pretty justified, but for all your bluster in the Case Keenum era Houston won 0 C-USA titles and ECU won 2. Then again maybe your right we are on 2 different levels, when we get in the title game we get it done twice while you throw up all over yourself consistently.

Props to houston for kicking PSU's ass.
Any time a Big 10 school loses, I feel a lot better about the world.

Well said UHCougar. There is no love lost between Houston & UT that's for sure. The only one time I care to witness Houston & UT into contact is on the football field so we can beat the F### out of them as we did a number of times before.
