Remembering Stan again
Stan had the highest ppg average of any player during my tenure as a fan. 18.4 in 2000-01.

RE: Remembering Stan again
The amazing thing was that he was about Taggart's height, and he scored all his points within ten feet of the basket if I recall correctly.
I don't recall ever seeing him take a three point shot. But he had great control of the ball around the basket. That's why I'd like to see a four guard lineup at times, with Taggart at the four.

RE: Remembering Stan again
Stan was no guard. He was not overly tall, but he was a true post man. VERY active down low.

Yes, but in a small school anyone over 6-2 will be playing post regardless. Taggart does have perimeter skills.

RE: Remembering Stan again
Definitely. But what I was trying to relate was that he could produce at the four because he not only can play out on the floor, he can also go inside and play. That way, you could get another scorer in the lineup at the same time. Dre, Dillard, Chucky, Taggart and WN.
That wouldn't be a lineup you could play all the time, but against certain teams in certain spots, it might be somewhat effective.
