Ducks Add Running Back Transfer Chris Vincent to Roster
Pennsylvania prep standout transfers from LSU.

Oct. 2, 2002

EUGENE, Ore. - Chris Vincent, a 6-2, 211-pound running back from Philadelphia, Pa., has enrolled at the University of Oregon and will play football for the Ducks after attending classes at LSU last spring and the early part of this fall, according to head coach Mike Bellotti.

The Bucks County Courier Times first-team all-area offensive standout rushed for 1,245 yards and 16 touchdowns (6.1 avg.) his senior year at Neshaminy (Pa.) High School in 1999, accumulating six 100-yard games and one 200-yard contest. He completed the prep circuit rushing for 458 yards and two touchdowns at Valley Forge (Pa.) Military Academy in 2000.

The all-league running back and Trentonian (N.J.) Times all-area honoree was voted to play in the all-county all-star game in 2000 as one of the top athletes in the state of Pennsylvania.

After sitting out this season to fullfil transfer residency requirements at Oregon, Vincent will have four years to complete four years of eligibility.

He is the cousin of Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Troy Vincent.
