in 1990 year before Big East-

MAC 9
Pac 10 10
SEC 10
SWC 9
WAC 9
Indy's 26
total of 107 teams.... now 120.... And- eastern wise- only 52 Eastern teams. Now- that number is up to like 75.

I love how someone that doesn't know jack squat about ECU is going to tell the ECU fans about ECU. What you aren't comprehending is that the issues that ECU had with the ECU/SEC schools with the BCS label will be the same with these schools without AQ status. Like I said worse case scenerio nothing changes. Best case, is that the lower BSC schools like Wake and Duke aren't going to have the same perceived advantage that they had in the past. The same can't be said for the BE. They are going to be screwed and that makes me smile.
