[split] An unpopular opinion on the departing schools.
In September of 2012, the Big East begins its exclusive 60-day negotiating window with ESPN and CBS. If they can't reach a deal, then the Big East goes to the open market in November. NBC/Comcast is a likely bidder.

I predict a lot of posts by Tallgrass about the Big East TV situation starting in about 9 months. Whenever the new deal gets announced, it's likely to be a shock to those who are left to compete in the "Alliance." And the vitriol will become quite strident between fans of those who are leaving and those who are staying.

big east isn't getting anything, and you know it, that is why you are posting. Nobody is going to pay for advertising involving schools who can't get people in their own city to watch them

Apparently theoretical TV sets count. All of the millions of TV sets in these metro areas are definitely going to be turned to SMU, Houston, and UCF games.

You guyz are the ones making the predictions.

Remember how luvy duby huggy kissy you guyz were talking about Sumlin? That prediction, like the AQ thing, didn't pan out either.

What you are calling vitrol is your predictions not coming true.

Didn't pan out? 35-17 & 24-8 in CUSA is not panning out? As mad as I was to lose the CUSA title game twice I would hardly say he didn't pan out. When he leaves we will go back to work and find another one to replace him just like we did with Briles
