Louisville

Pittsburgh
Rutgers
Syracuse

UCF

West Virginia

Basketball members...

DePaul
Georgetown
Providence
Marquette
Notre Dame
St Johns
Seton Hall
Villanova

Syracuse, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia leave then you still have a 9 member conference. I don't, for the life of me, understand why the Big East didn't get this done.

The Big EAST would have stayed in the East. It would have more importantly stayed in the northeast. The Big East still would have had many major TV markets. It's a far better setup than what the Big East tried to do with TCU, and is now doing with Boise State, Houston, San Diego State etc...

The problem is that these people take anything that SU, Pitt and WV fans post on this board as an insult whether it is or not. Thats why it may be nice to let them celebrate their new conference without any imput from us.

I think this is an indictment on the leadership of the big east rather than a rag on the new members.

btw, i agree with orangecrush22. the big east going from coast to coast is ridiculous bordering on the sublime.

Like I said on a previous post, BE may as well play all Schools in All Sports with an East division /West division, Add Memphis, unlv and Fresno. Then in BB move some of the BB only schools west and send the top 8 schools in each division to the tournament in the Gardens one year then alternate to the LA Forum next year. Might as well go BIG if your going to do it !

That has seriously been my idea from the start. Three 8 team all sports conferences with only 16 playing football.
