Uh, yeah. What a great all sports combo that "National" thing would be. What a freaking disaster, I can't believe someone paid this guy to come up with that.

Mountain West: Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, New Mexico, TCU, UNLV. A junior college basketball league could hold their own with these clowns. Most of these programs have marginal football support and zero basketball support with decent fball programs and atrocious basketball. Oh yeah, they are all in terrible markets ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CONTINENT.

Couldn't agree more. No way should any BE teams be associated with these guys across the country. As an UCONN alum and huge fan, no way would I want UCONN to be associated with these guys. I would rather UCONN go indy than be in a league across the country.

He went out of his way to slam on the NBE. Seems like a lot of people are getting paid to do that these days.

I don't understand why the 'dream scenerios' always involve merging the Big East with mid-majors (the merger of western schools, they once suggested a BE/CUSA merger). If we are playing make believe, why is there never a desire to... I dunno, maybe reunite the Eastern Independents?

No perfect college football world has Boston College in the ACC.

Even if it's an opinion you should actually think about it before expressing your opinion. What he's talking about is the equivalent of asking the Pac-10 to merge with the Big Ten. What kind of geographical logic is that!? 03-confused
