He says that Villanova is still working with the Big East on getting football moved up.

Same with DePaul, we're working on that football thing since our BBall is a long way before it becomes relevant again.

Villanova may have cost us Syracuse, Pitt, and WVU.

If we expand beyond 10, we want the three academies & BYU. Army will consider joining if Navy does ok. And I think BYU will soon regret their decision; they may want to join in a couple years.

In hindsight, its amazing that the league pushed so hard for Nova instead of going after Houston to pair with TCU

I think the SunBelt and CUSA wouldn't have spent more than 2-3 seconds on debating adding Villanova Football to their conferences yet the Big East and their Basketball Commish spent almost A YEAR on trying to move that program up to BCS status.

No wonder Syracuse, Pitt, WVU (and RU & UCONN but to no success yet) have been working/doing everything in their power to leave this hybrid conf.

I still think this Nova football upgrade thing is going to be a thorn in the BE's side for a while.

RE: Jay Wright on Francesa...
The Big East office needs to tell Villanova to put up or shut up. If they want to move to FBS on their own dime, fine, but no one is going to be subsidizing them. They can even play their home games in that cute little soccer stadium. Whatever. But if they can't raise the money to upgrade, then step aside and pipe down, because Temple is on speed dial. End of story.
