I think it was actually Korey Spates you're thinking of. Moss would have been a freshman Geno's first year so his scholly was filled by either Greene, Grimsley, Simpson, or FHA.

I love the FHA pull!

I'm old and forgetful! Leave me alone!
03-old

You are right, it was Korey Spates. Duh.

On today's ESPN:
Coaches Hot Seat:
Quote:South Florida is regressing under Stan Heath. The Bulls couldn't even beat Penn State and were annihilated 69-46 by a rebuilding VCU squad. Talented forward Augustus Gilchrist hasn't developed at all. Barring a miracle in Big East play, this should be Heath's final year in Tampa.

Witchita scored as many points in the 2nd half as Bradley did the entire game.

Wished he would have left us with honor so that I could pull for him. After his dufus act, he can lose every game for all I care.

Just noticed where Geno and his girls lost tonight to fall to 0-5 in the MVC and 5-12 overall. Doesn't look like its going to get much better this season.

We'd better get our buyout $$$$ before he gets canned out there.

All 4 former coaches and how they sit as of 01/14/12:

Bradley U is now 5-13 overall, 0-6 in their conference, next worst team is 3-3 in conference play. They play UNI tomorrow night @ home, so barring an upset, they would fall to 0-7. Looks like he has a juco PF and HS pg coming in next year.

Cleveland St is 15-3, 5-1 in the Horizon, sitting in 1st place. Play @ Valpo tomorrow. Waters has 5 recruits coming next year, all from the HS ranks, no JUCO, but huge turnover, just like KSU, so should be interesting what each team looks like next year.

University of South Florida Bulls are 10-8 overall, 3-2 in the Big East. Coming off of a big win @ home over Seton Hall last night. Next up is St. Johns @ home on Wednesday. They sit in 8th place in the meat grinder of a league. 5 recruits coming in, 1 ESPN TOP 100 and 2 other HS players, and 2 JUCOs.

TCU sits @ 10-5 overall, 0-0 in the MWC. They play their conference opener @ Colorado St (11-4 overall) tonight @ 9pm EST. 3 recruits coming in next year, 2 HS and a JUCO PF.

RE: Ex-Coaches this season thread
For those of us who complain about KSU's offense, Bradley was blown out by Witchita State last night by 37 points. Apparently, his team can neither shoot nor defend, giving up 78 and getting 41. Last night was their 9th straight loss.

Wonder if Coach Ford still wants a large, involved fan base?

RE: Ex-Coaches this season thread
Long season continues in Peoria, with Bradley losing to their arch rival and MVC foe, Illinois State, by 30 points to fall to 1-12 in conference play. It’s a bitter rivalry, would be like losing to Akron by 30.

Ouch.

Article from the local Peoria paper, before the 30 point blow out to Illinois State last Saturday.

Bradley Sucked

Wonder if Coach Ford still wants a large, engaged fan base?

Well, they say that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Well, I don't know about the grass, but Geno IS getting a LOT more greenbacks to coach there than he would here.

Quote:The 30-point loss was the third of such magnitude for the Braves this season. “New school record,” I say, paraphrasing coach Larry Hockett in “Bull Durham.” It was the second 30-point home loss this season: “New school record.” It was Bradley’s fifth loss by at least 20 points this season, two shy of the all-time blowout mark established by the 1954-55 Braves. But with at least eight games remaining, there is time to establish another “New school record.”

And with a 6-18 record, the Braves are on track to lose more than the 23 games dropped by Jim Molinari’s first team 20 seasons ago. Also, “new school record.”

Oh, the futility!

Brutal.

RE: Ex-Coaches this season thread
Dont feel sorry for Geno at all. Its like the 3 pointer that Porrini chucks up with 20 seconds on the shot clock. If you kept working at it you could get a better shot (better job) as you can always chuck one up. Geno never even took us to the dance but Bradley was in a huge hurry to hire him. Accomplish something first then start looking.

Sorry Napoleon (i mean Geno) your feelings were hurt because your boss was paying more attention to our red headed step child in football and you didnt feel the love.

Sad reality is he can always likely come back to the MAC and get a head job.
