TEEING OFF: OSU will travel to Fairfax, Cal. for the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, Oct. 14-15. The tournament is hosted by the University of California, and will be played at the par-71 Meadow Club Golf Course. Teams will begin teeing off at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, and will play 36 holes, followed by 18 on Tuesday.
THE COURSE: The Meadow Club features a 6,585-yard par-71 course designed by Alister MacKenzie in 1927. MacKenzie is noted for designing such golf course greats as Augusta National ( Augusta, Ga.), and Cypress Point (Pebble Beach, Calif.). The Alister MacKenzie Invitational is the first ever collegiate event hosted by the Meadow Club.
THE FIELD: Oregon State will be competing against 17 teams including Golfweeks' No. 5 UCLA and No. 10 Northwestern, both appear in Golfweeks' top-25 in the nation heading into the tournament. The remaining teams are California, Fresno State, Nevada, Oregon, Pacific, Stanford, UC Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Washington State, Colorado, Long Beach State, San Jose State, UC Irvine, and Washington
