Now up to #34 in RPI, #40 SOS. I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.

and the Campell loss doesn't look as bad now with their win at Iowa.

Campbell University is a darn good team. Robbie Laing is an excellent coach and now that they have a new arena (Carter Gym was old as dirt and was the second smallest in the NCAA) he can recruit better athletes. If you are looking for a team to rag on as being bad embarrassing to lose to, the Camels aren't the team you are looking for. Heck the football team just finished with a winning record after just restarting football three or four years ago.

It's not based on RPI, nor is it's predictions. It's based on Sagarin predictor that factors in not only who you have beat but how bad you have beat them unlike RPI. RPI forcast uses this tool and Sagarins predicotors to similuate games based on that and then applys the RPI based on the forcast. It's early but Sagarin the best tool right now at this point in the season. The forcast us finishing at #96 and Marshall #100. That's probably fairly accurate based on how we have both played so far.

I understand you think our team is overrated, but wow... its hard for me to believe that 100 is an accurate prediction for Marshall to finish.

Read the whole sentence. NEWBIE BASKETBALL FANS. I was implying this guy is a new bball fan, which is probably true since last year was ECUs first decent year in basketball in the modern era. Not new to this message board. Gawd you ECU fans really do have trouble with reading comprehension, eh? Just because I joined in Oct 11 doesn't mean I haven't been reading this board since 2003 as a guest.

Well you have no way to prove that... so... you're an idiot.

I wish you'd go back to reading as a guest.

I don't think he's a herd fan, I think this is a fake account. I think it is a ucf fan. Check out his post, all he does is bust on the alliance and talk about how great the big east is.

damn this guy knows what he is talking about

Jonesing, your Sagarin indicator for ECU is basing itself off of 3 wins over non-D1 schools, a win over Appalachian State, a loss to Campbell, and a loss to Old Dominion. If you think quoting Sagarin this early into the season with that pitiful excuse of a schedule is going to convince anyone of anything..... 03-lmfao

At least Marshall played 5 D1 opponents, and beat a Big East team. Meanwhile, you're bragging about losses.

Sorry your thread turned to crap TheEast, I got the original joke. 04-cheers

Where does one find these predictions?

I would like to see where things are as of right now, and what you think of them.

Current ranking--> 208 East Carolina = 70.88 1 4 74.11( 145) 0 0 | 0 0 | 68.66 232 | 71.71 181 <--predicted finish
51 Marshall = 82.12 5 2 74.10( 146) 0 1 | 0 2 | 81.84 49 | 81.10 60

But don't worry, he'll give you a totally legitimate explanation of why these ratings are now rendered invalid.

Yep, because according to SJ, there is very little separating ECU and Memphis in hoops...

I would guess because of SJ's outlandish predictions/rpi analysis. I definitely have it bookmarked, so at the end of the season we can discuss the rpi projections SJ deemed "accurate" earlier.

This.

The guy went out of his way to tell us that Marshall wasn't very good because we didn't win by enough at UNC-W.

And as of right now, there IS very little separating ECU and Memphis. Mostly, opinion. However, that we likely change as the season progresses.
