LIBERTY W 96-82 (1-0, 6-1)
Sagarin: Campbell is now up to #81, Liberty #331 (of 345) - Campbell by 22; ratings are still not "well-connected"...Harvard is #10.
They're telling us to wear white tonight so we can "white-out the Big South".

OrangeCamel,
You do realize that Harvard will have a chance to be ranked in about a week or two and is one of the best mid-majors in the country? The reason they are so high in the rankings is because they won the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas by beating Utah, Florida State, and UCF. UConn was in the field before losing in the semi's to UCF.
So I think a #10 ranking is pretty solid for Harvard.
Regardless, I think a 10 point win tonight would be solid, but don't overlook Liberty. They are always pretty solid despite their earlier season injury issues.

Had no idea about Harvard. I figured it was a fluke in the ratings in the first few weeks. (Also forgot Tommy Amaker is the HC there.) Nice to see a team like that up there.
It doesn't look like I'll make it tonight. You guys let me know: A) how the Big South refs are, and B) how the Liberty attendance is...conference opponent fans coming to our place was generally non-existent in the A-Sun.

RE: LIBERTY
Up 45-41 at the half.
Keep guarding Eric...we've got Rico and Trey.

RE: LIBERTY W 96-82 (1-0, 6-1)
The refs were two of the same guys we have had before. Horrible as usual. We beat Liberty and the refs last night.
There may have been a few Liberty fans there. Did not pay that much attention to them. Liberty shut Eric down which left, Trey, Rico and White able to do some damage. Rico did a good job of getting Saunders #25 out of his game.
Good first win in the Big South. Game was sort of ugly though with no flow. Liberty fouled a lot and we did as well. They really stretched out the game but a 14 point win in our first Big South game is good.
Will not be there on Saturday. Maybe we can get another win over High Point.

These games with 60+ fouls are tough to watch. It was good to see we can win without Eric getting his 20-10. There were a few Liberty folks there, they had two guys from the Greenville area and one from Raleigh on their team which may have helped. Rico has really stepped his game up in the absence of Lorne and there were a couple of times he single-handedly kept us going in the first half. Good to get that first league win.

I think HPU will be a tough out Saturday. I just dont understand why we cant get more than 1600 fans. even half of the season ticket holders dont show and a few hundred students tops. i can understand filling it up for ECU, but that was the first BSC game in 17 years against a long time rival. i was just hoping for a little more.
To answer one question, it was not the same officials.

Well then that makes some sense. I remember just about five years aog many didn't even know more than 800 or so even wanted to come to games.
Its good to see complaints about 1600. Shows progression of the program.
