I don't pay attention to the NBA until after the first of the year so this works for me.

I'm just glad Louisville never got an NBA franchise. They end up costing a city more money than they generate in most cases. The NFL is the only one that is doing well in this economy, and that can change too.

However, I really like baseball... But yes, all the pro sports are overpaid.

1. Never understood how some people can love college sports but hate professional especially since the talent pool comes from college sports. People cheer for them when they are not getting paid but as soon as they make what the market would bear they turn against them.

2. My concern is more with the people @ the Arenas and surrounding businesses that they earn their living from. You have many venders and people that work in restaurants & hotels that were hurt by this.

There are a few B17s here and there, Stookey. Here's a list...

1a. Well, for college sports you are usually cheering for your alma mater or your hometown team. In pro sports that's often not the case, because there are so few... Louisville for example.
1b. I'm not against athletes getting paid, but I am against greed. There is no reason athletes can't exist on the money they make. There is no reason to hold out. Owners are even worse than the players often when it comes to greed. But as owners, they make the rules.
2. Yes, I feel bad for the people who are missing out on work due to this strike.
3. I'm sure I would change my mind if Louisville had an NBA, NFL or MLB team. But I'd still be a much bigger college fan.
