Guess what???!!?? We don't support you anymore so therefore we don't care what accomplishment you think you achieved. So in other words... Piss off.

I completely understand your point of view and have definitely felt that way at times. At some point you have to just congratulate a good accomplishment and move on. They may be headed to the dark side but whatever they are accomplishing right now, they are doing it as one of us. One of us being C-USA and non-AQ. I'm still not sure I will be going for Houston in the CCG but should they win I will definitely be rooting for them in a BCS bowl.

No doubt I'll be pulling for USM.

Every week you pick someone new, and every week it turns out to be a loser.

RE: Is this Give a Cookie to Houston & UCF fan day?
I don't agree with this feeling of resentment toward Houston. While I have questions concerning the Big East (and I don't think that it's any less silly for them than I thought it was for TCU), there's no sense in disparaging what they've accomplished to this point. They are still a CUSA team this season, whether they end up elsewhere afterwards or not...and they're closer to landing a BCS bowl than anyone has been from CUSA in years past. They deserve their props for making it this far, and if they finish running the table, they deserve the congratulations at that point as well.

In order for any team to go undefeated, they need quite a bit of skill, and a bit of luck. They need a few things to just go right (look at Boise St. over the last couple of years, for an example of where they needed just a little more). Every team has less than stellar games. One of the marks of a good team is that they endure those games, and win when it's not pretty. Houston has done that. They've stepped up when they needed to step up (something that even the mighty Boise St. couldn't do this year or last year), and they've held on when things weren't quite in sync.

I'm happy to see Houston's success this season, as I feel that it still reflects well on the conference. I understand that makes me a bit of an odd man out, but they deserve all the positive attention they get right now.

And while I certainly have no love for UCF, they deserve their credit for beating UConn, as well. Any one of us (even Memphis) would be ecstatic with that win. It's a signature win for any program.

That's the first time I've "picked" someone. And why wouldn't I pick USM? They're our longest playing rival and they're in the east. You got me confused with someone else chief. Go gloat somewhere else, Chevy.
