My initial evaluation was that this team has
more talent overall than nearly any team we've had that I can recall.
But the one thing we seem to be lacking is a "zone buster". If teams are going to force you to take open shots from the perimeter you need some folks who can knock them down. I disagree that we haven't had any open shots. In the Michigan State game alone, Chucky had a number of open shots. He just didn't make them. And most hit the back rim without much touch. It's possible that he hasn't adjusted to his extra strength from all the weight training in the off season. Let's hope he gets his touch back. Maybe it will happen this Saturday night.

Jerry, the mich st game had large kids closing fast and no inside by us. I would not judge anything off of that game. Not telling you you are wrong. I just think the 2 guards can hit from out there in a slower game against a little smaller players.

I realize we were totally outmanned physically in the Mich. State game. Sort of like our ladies against Texas A & M. I'm going to go back and watch the game again and see what really happened. It's difficult to watch the game at full speed when it's going on. Easier when you watch the recording. I don't doubt our guards can make some shots. Like all of us, I'm hoping they'll come around. It's very early yet. No need to panic.
