People need to stop saying that the SEC and ACC want a playoff. They proposed a 4-team plus-one using the bowls, which would effectively just shuffle the current BCS bowl matchups around. The SEC and ACC want to retain the exclusivity of the bowl system just as much as the Big Ten.

The only time the SEC was really in favor of a playoff was for a time after Auburn got snubbed. Otherwise, it's business as usual...
