Baylor-OU
OU looks like they are starting to exert their power but Baylor has played tough this evening. Baylor and RGIII will roll Tech next weekend in JerryWorld and I would be surprised if Tech brings more than 10-15K fans for what looks like will be our 1st losing season since the early 90's.

Congrats to the Hance and the BOR for ruining what used to be exciting football. Now we have tubby and his boring non-existent offense and red carpet defense. If Tech loses to Baylor, it will be the 1st time since 1994. Congrats tubby, you are setting all kinds of records in the Hub City. Bowl Streak in jeopardy, 17-18 consecutive winning seasons in jeopardy, worst ever school loss to OSU last weekend 66-6, 4 straight losses since 1993 and 0 for at home in conference play.

Re-Alignment related because I hope OU, OSU and Tech end up in the PAC even though we suck and our administration threw the alumni and fans under the bus.

Wow, Baylor just knocked off OU in Waco.

The Bears will kill Tech in Arlington.

I don't want Briles as HC but he is doing wonders in Waco.

RE: Baylor-OU
Baylor was willing to sit down on the ball and go to overtime, but Stoops took that timeout and pissed Baylor off. And after that going for 2 points thing... good enough for them. I bet he respects the Bears now......and a trip to like the Sun Bowl...

RG III is a stud. I think he should win the Heisman cause he is the most valuable player on his team. I am just glad UCONN played him twice and beat Baylor twice.

RE: Baylor-OU
We can't talk about this on Raiderpower because the owner is in bed with tubby and the Tech Administration.

Hey Kirby Hocutt, Tech AD, you will be forced to fire the riverboat gambler/high plains joke when 30K show up in a 60K seat stadium to watch this pathetic football team. You will be forced to make a change when we lose to Baylor for the 1st time since 94

Kirby, will be getting emails and phone calls from this Alum eliminating what little I have given to the University since they unjustly fired Mike Leach. Mike rightfully told the Admin to F off with with their ridiculous demands. Leach you deserve your payday and shot in court. Sadly, my University is hiding behind sovereign immunity. I have taken a lot of shots from fans across Texas for being a Tech grad but I have never been more embarrassed by my University than I am this evening

Tech football is boring and in my 15 years of being a Tech student/ Alum, I never thought I would give up on my Alma Mater but my administration gave up on the fans. I'm done

Hey Pit( Publisher of Raider Power), Mike Leach was be the best thing that ever happened to your pathetic career.

I agree, Mike Leach was great for Texas Tech football and Lubbock was rocking on game days with a packed stadium (which they had to expand when Leach was there due to demand). It is amazing how well Tubs recruits but how many games he still manages to lose.

Our defense (like Tech's) is iffy (to put it nicely). OU can't run the ball to save their life but a solid D and exceptional pass game have bailed them out all year. Tech will be tougher for our defense to match up with. I expect a close game like the last 3 BU-TT games with hopefully a different victor this time. We both beat OU, both got in a shootout with MU, both went to the wire vs KSU, both fell 20 behind in wins against KU, and OSU nuked us both. Tech almost beat A&M who throttled us and we dominated ISU who dominated tech. Despite the lack of recent TTU wins this is a game between pretty evenly matched teams. I expect us to run the ball very effectively and win but when you have 2 very good offenses you can see games turn very quick.

Yeah, and it means a lot more for the teams involved because of the lack of a playoff. It's part of what people love about college football. :)

This is such an overlooked point! This is why if they did a playoff it should be done with a flexible # of teams. You never know how much you need to do to get in, so no resting players and you keep most of these upsets relevant. OSU-ISU means almost nothing in an 8 or 16 team bracket.

Repeat these rules and bracket who it gives you:
1- Take all the undefeated teams and see if 2 teams have played a computer SOS in the top 50. If you find TWO, you bracket all undefeated teams. (Example would be 2005 UT-USC or 2009 where Bama, UT, TCU, Boise, Cincy)
2- If a 2nd team with that SOS is not found, you then open it up to 1 loss teams with SOS greater than 80 (can't make it too easy to get in). You then look to see if a 2nd team with a top 50 SOS is found. If not repeat with the 2 loss, 3 loss, etc until you find a 2nd team. Any team equal to the # of losses than the 2nd team will be in unless they lost the same # of games on a worse than 80th sos.
3- Bracket the teams the rules spit out and give the teams with the highest BCS rankings byes if applicable.

I have yet to find 1 deserving team left out with this method when I have tried to apply it to pre-bowl results from 1997-2010. I also find it preserves the do or die aspect of the season.
