Exclamation GAME #11 - at Georgia State L 35-42 (6-5)
2010 Ga State won 24-21 in Buies Creek

Sagarin: Ga State #208, Campbell #216 (of 246 FBS/FCS; Ga State by 5)
RealTimeRPI: Campbell #178, Ga State #218
MasseyRatings.com: Ga State #99, Campbell #105 (of 126 FCS; Ga State by 7)

Of course, Campbell was rated above the Panthers in all three prior to last weekend.

Kind of a "novelty"-type game since we're playing in the Georgia Dome. As oldcamel suggested, we can make this our bowl game considering the venue.

The Camels should be ready to play since apparently they have been looking forward to this game for two weeks now (taking into account last week's result at Valpo). Hope they can shake-off any ill effects from this past Saturday.

Georgia State's results this year:

CLARK ATLANTA W 41-7
OLD DOMINION L 17-40
at Jacksonville State L 21-37
at Houston L 0-56
MURRAY STATE L 24-48
at S.C. State L 13-23
SOUTH ALABAMA W 27-20 2OT
at Texas-San Antonio L 12-17 OT
at St Francis (Ill) L 27-30 3OT.....An NAIA team.
at West Alabama L 23-30........D-II, SW's new school

The South Alabama result is interesting, I thought USA played pretty well in Raleigh earlier this year, all things considered. Their last two results, yikes. Three OT's in last four as well. Who the heck knows though, we lost to the worst team in Division I so I'm not even trying to figure this one out!

I'm not sure what to think. I think we could win if we played like we did during the recent stretch but it will take us controlling the ball and keeping the ball away from their better speed and athletic players.

Disappointing end to the season. Hopefully we can get a QB as reliable as Smith next year

First, it was a great experience to play/watch in the Georgia Dome. I am sure that it will be something that the players, coaches, and fans that attended will NEVER forget.
Second, 35 points should win most games; but ....
Third, IMO we should not have started on-sides kicking only down two scores with over 8 minutes to go. Kick it deep and hope that the defense can hold them.

And by the way, Smith has one more year as QB.

Go Camels!

We did better this year. We still don't have a defense that can stop anybody. In the games we won they really did not stop anybody they just slowed them down and turned the ball over. The teams ran up and down the field at will.

35 points should win a game if you have any defense at all.

Not real optomistic about next year. Losing O line and our best running backs. I think the 5 game winning streak saved the coaches job and gave us our first winning season.

Was very disappointed about the Valpo loss. That was pathetic. No excuse for that. They are horrible.

I disagree about the running backs. From what I understand Rashaun Brown has a year of eligbility left and may be coming back. He was the most talented of the group and he didn't play this year because of injury. We do lose a lot but we also have a lot more talent than we did four years ago when we were just starting the program. A quarterback and a running back are a good start. A lot of holes to fill but I have confidence that we can overcome and at least be competitive next year.
