Don't know if any of you guys listen to him, but yesterday about 5:30, his intern mentioned going to the forum last night, and Dixon went on a solid 5 minute rant.

I'll get the salient points as close to verbatim as I can.

BTW, he moved back here from Orlando.

UCF and UAB are distubingly similar, despite the enormous size of UCF.

Think Legion Field is bad? The Citrus Bowl looks like something out of a Road Warrior movie.

Same arguments we're familiar with: We got the Gators. We got the Seminoles. We got the 'Canes. Who needs UCF?

Well, they built a stadium anyway and it has fundamentally changed the face of their program. Fans come to games. Alumni pouring money into the program. They matter in Orlando now.

UAB could have the same thing if the BoT would let it happen.

If you're keeping this down because you're afraid UAB will steal the first smidgeon of luster from the Tide, then do your homework. If you're still against it, and you have no good reason to be, then SHAME ON YOU.

You're like the middle-aged man with the tiny winky who goes out and buys the ridiculous sports car that you drive perilously fast, to prove something you don't need to prove. SHAME ON YOU.

He made several more comments in a similar vein, punctuating them with: SHAME ON YOU.

I was screaming "Damn right! You tell 'em, Richard!"

I recommend listening to Matt Murphy and Richard Dixon whenever you can instead of some of that other talk,
