I would buy at least 2. Maybe 2 Club level seats if the economy picks back up and we start building houses again.

You already have Football season tickets purchased for the 2013 or 2014 seasons with seats in the new OCS?
How did you manage that?

RE: An Unscientific Unofficial Poll
I think There is a bit of misunderstanding of my question.
I'm talking about forking over the money NOW for a PRE-CONSTRUCTION
purchase that would clearly show fan support for the stadium.
The Board of DisTrustees supposedly said they don't see enough support for the football program.
Pre-Construction sales of season tickets would clearly show that support.

I understood you but don't think the others did. Not sure if UAB would be allowed to do that but I will ask the question directly to Mackin tonight if he shows.

I would write a check for a 5 year commitment on 4 tickets.

I have been a season ticket holder in football since day 1 (1991) & I will continue my commitment to my university.

To my knowledge, I don't think that the university plans on dropping my season ticket subscription.

I think I answered your question. Give me an official announcement and ground-breaking now, and I'll have 4 more season tickets next September.

I think we could sell A LOT of tickets, even pre-construction, IF we knew it would cause the board to give us the stadium.

I think if the board were clear and said, "UAB, if you do this, this, and this, we'll approve the stadium," then we would accomplish their requirements. They won't do that because they hope we will just shut up and let it go. We won't.

Yep.

Committing to concrete criteria means you have to deliver when we meet them.

RE: An Unscientific Unofficial Poll
I thought some sort of pre-construction commitment from us was gonna be the way the OCS was gonna go in the first place. In my mind I saw some sort of pre-construction money down (to help build it) + annual commitment agreement thereafter in exchange for sweet seats and season tickets and choice perks (think golden fried eagle and a glass of pre-game wine) 03-wink .

It's what I've been waiting for!

Lets do it! This + the big box commitments already on board should be more than enough...

We can buy the damn stadium, people. We don't need those a-holes in Tuscaloser.

Damn. Basically what you are asking for is a Personal Seat License. They do this in the NFL all the time. Depending on where you want you seats to be, you have to purchase that level of PSL for your tickets, and then you buy your tickets. If UAB sells enough PSLs, the BO(mis)T approval would be an afterthought.

10 to 12,000 purchased would show fan support.

This is why we all need to join Blazer club!!!! That is the purpose, to show BOT the growth as well as group that would buy season tickets. We need to double it by end of year. We are last in conf. USA. We need to change it and it will help greatly with stadium!
