Definitely 30,000:

(Took this during the first quarter of "nothing but a pile of feathers." The crowd got no better as the game went on, and quickly got much worse.)

Definitely NOT 52,000:

I think that the Big East should add Memphis in at #9 for football. C-USA can easily replace them with LaTech, who desperately wants out of the WAC. That is a good trade.

Memphis would bring a solid football and hoops program to the BE, and one that is growing in a good sized media market smack in the middle of God's Country...the SEC.

I'd like to see a Big East/SEC tie in with the Liberty Bowl if that happens. There is just no downside to having Memphis in the Big East.

I also think that UCF should eventually get in the BE so that the BE can have a solid foothold in Florida for recruiting. Two schools in Florida means that all the BE football teams can make a trip down there every year.

Memphis and Orlando are solid TV markets.

Thats a solid post Auburnguy. I too would like to see Memphis in the BE. I would also like to see ND booted. That way Memphis could replace them on the bb side and also become the 9th member.

the only problem with that is it would give the football schools a majority, which i'm sure the basketball schools will fight tooth and nail against. i would also be in favor of memphis, we had some good games in football and basketball and they've got a good fanbase. but not likely to happen unless the conference split.

Yes, our worse attended game since as long as I can remember. I cant explain that bad attendance. Heck we had sellouts that season against Temple and UTEP.

The funny thing is that game in our stadium was against Memphis. The game in your stadium is against Louisville. Looks as if UofL fans could just care less about Memphis.

That reasoning won't wash; the fans of the top football schools for the most part fill their stadium REGARDLESS of the opponent (and much bigger stadiums than that one). If UL wants to run with the big boys you have to fill the Pizza Bowl for ALL games.

I can't see 40k coming for Rutgers either, but I'm sure there will be. Again, not trying to slap at UL here, just don't think your attendance is in another world when compared to ours. Now in bball, we have definetly fallen off the mark.
Actually, if we did make a bowl game at last don't be surprised to see Rutgers fans from all over the country show up in droves to the game. If we're playing in Florida we have a bunch of alums plus all the alums, fans, and students from the Midwest and Northeast that will fly down to warmer weather to see our school play in a bowl. Rutgers is honestly a very dangerous team look at the recruiting ground, Penn State and Notre Dame have won NCs using alot of NJ talent then look at the population base. If we become a winner we'll be talking about expanding the stadium because right now we self-admittedly suck and we get 31,000 a game in a 41,500 seat stadium. We can easily bring 15,000 to a bowl game, Rutgers fans are the quite possibly the most dedicated in College Football, because year in and year out our hopes get crushed and yet we continue to be loyal and dedicated fans that show up to the games and the like.

Yes you do need us apparently. We also had to help you sellout that FedEx place you guys play in. Your biggest attended games I guess were against Louisville in the 2 major sports LOL. Meanwhile in hoops we consistently sellout every game.
