With an assinine quote like that, who really needs to try anything? You built your Magineaux Line and surrendered.

If Temple could beat Cuse, they could certainly beat Memphis. Its as simple as that. Call it what you want, but its not out of reach. memphis is not USC or Oklahoma or Louisville. You seem to think that Memphis is on that level if you think its assinine for someone to suggest that Temple could beat memphis. The fact is memphis is just an average program, and thats only the last 2 years.

Quote:That's mighty big talk considering how UofL barely escaped Memphis with a win last season, and was annihilated by the Tigers the previous season on your own field.
Quote:I was thinking the exact same thing.  Louisville fans have short and selective memories.
I think the real selective memory would be Tiger fans recalling that it's 1-1 the last 2 years.

We could discuss about how we've dominated you this decade and all of the last one.

Since 1988 UofL is 13-3 against Memphis. We have owned the Liberty Bowl basically, going 6-2 against Memphis during that span, along with 3-1 in the Liberty Bowl (game).

As for 2003 in PJCS, you whooped us, no doubt. I think the proof is in the pudding so to speak however when you consider that it was the first Memphis win @ UofL since 1983. That's right, it had been 2 decades even though we played almost every year!

OK, Fair enough. "Could beat". OK, maybe... I thought you wrote "would beat". The eyes playin' tricks again.

But absolutely better than Temple ... not putting Memphis on a pedestal, just noting the obvious low-rate program Temple has run for years. Plus if we had had YEARS of BCS $$$ handed to us like Temple squandered, I guarantee we'd have a LOT more to show for it than they do. Bottomline: The BCS sucks.

I can't disagree with that. Temple has been pathetic, but they have a chance to turn things around in the MAC.

And yes, the BCS sucks.
