Hooper Vint
Played 15 minutes (4 pts, 5 rebounds) for UTEP in a 73-64 home loss to UTSA. Looks like he made the right decision for himself. Don't think he'd have played ahead of Neighbour or Javes if he came here.

What are you basing this on Mickey? I've never laid eyes on Javes, and haven't seen Vint play college basketball, but if your basing this on one game, Javes had 4 pts and 1 rebound in 22 minutes. Sounds like Vint had the upper hand based on one game. Of course we all know you can't use one game to prove anything. You may be right though, in the long run.

Really basing it on nothing. I just have a feeling Javes will be a big time player. Of course, I thought Bails would be as well. I can't recall ever having a center that started the first game of his freshman year. I have to believe Joe is really high on this young man. I guess my point was it looks like the best for both parties involved. Looks like Hooper will play significant minutes as a freshman at UTEP, and I think our staff is very happy with Javes and WN.
