Keith Lee was an incredible college player. What happened to his NBA career?

It's unfair to judge a guy on something almost everyone cannot do well (Become a career NBA player).

Say it with me...

Tennessee HS basketball...

OVER...RATED....

OVER...RATED...

JJ, Adonis Thomas, Dude who went to UT...Poythress...Just not many successes

Overrated based on what metric - making the NBA? That's quite an unfair metric if so.

Based on being solid DI players/contributors, I think Memphis produces just fine.

Good number of starters and role players from the city at the DI level every year - from the major conferences to the mid-majors.

Hell, look at Anthony Douglass, Chris Massie, Omar Sneed, CDR, Antonio Anderson, Kelly Wise...

I would kill to have a player like that at Memphis again, despite the fact they aren't long term (hell, or even short term) NBA guys.

Saluki - some folks are just dumb when it comes to athletics.

Nothing at all wrong with being a solid college player who doesn't make it in the NBA.

Apparently, for some at least, you have to be a lottery pick in the draft to be considered a local boy done good.

Even though most know differently.

Fact is - there are several mid-south players on DI rosters EVERY year that contribute to their team. And that's been going on since I can remember, so early 80s...

Apparently though...since Joe Jackson and Jerome Mincy and Ernest Smith and Billy Smith and Rodney Douglas and Tony Harris and David Harris and Dane Bradshaw and Maurice Cannon and Chris Garner and Earnest Shelton and JP Prince and Chris Crawford and Jeremy Hunt and Robert O'Kelley and Corey Bradford and Randy Carter and Dwight Stewart and Chris Chiozza and Dwight Boyd and on and on and on...apparently, since they weren't NBA all-stars, then they are trash to some posters.

In reality, I'm not sure a good number of posters realize how many DI players in hoops Memphis produces per capita versus other major cities.

I was talking about 5* recruits that came out of Tennessee being overrated...How hard is that to understand...Hence the names I listed in the post...

But take it to wherever you want.
