We don't have the access to the Fla AAU org like UCF does. I don't think he would have been involved he had stayed here.

And contrary to what many fans believe, DJ was forced out at Marshall and had little choice but to go to elsewhere. He's not the villian many Marshall fans make him out to be.

That said, I think Hammrick make the right move. I can't see Herrion as anything but an upgrade to DJ - better floor coach and better recruiter.

If you read the entire 16 page document, you will see that this was going on at UCF before Donnie got there. According to the document it started back in 2009 with Caldwell. Here is the link to the report:

They will notice. Our students look up information on the team and players before each game and they hand out rosters to the student section. Last year's UCF game was great, students were into it. When the band played "You can have whatever you like" the students sang "You can never be like Mike". I'm sure the Jordans are used to it though.

Like Blade I don't think Jones would be smeaing in this if he was still in Huntington. Although I do think he would have access to the Florida AAU, he did coach at Florida for 11 years.

Jones wasn't forced out but the min Hamrick got on campus the power he had was gone. One of those powers was putting a schedule together without the AD OK-ing it.

I didn't throw a party when Jones left, I wasn't saddened either. He is not who I wanted at that time. If we would have had an AD that knew how to hire the propper personal at the time he would have hired Winthorp's coach at the time Gregg Marshall.
