PSU did the right thing here. No way they could have allowed him to continue on in light of what we knew from the GJ report. Seeing Joe lead the "We Are Penn State" cheer the other night was disgraceful and looked bad for the university. The "sacrifice" to retire at the end of the season was a self serving attempt to save face that backfired. He deserves this IMO.

I agree. That joke of a press conference wasn't much better.

I believe I read that the other named party to the trophy refuses to be associated with Paterno so yes, they are removing it.
