RE: NKU Exhibition Game
I saw flashes of Jackson's offensive game down the stretch last season. He's very quick with his moves in the post. If he can provide a scoring punch off the bench... watch out!

I met a guy who trains players, including many UC guys. He said Jackson has a really nice touch. He just needs to settle down in games. Mick reiterated that in his post game...

Cronin on Justin Jackson burying a 3: "That shocked our fans, it didn't shock our bench."

RE: NKU Exhibition Game
Does the lack of production from the bench raise concerns from anyone else? The fact that only 7 guys really played significant minutes in an exhibition game is a bit strange, especially since we have become accustom to a deep bench. Furthermore, it is a bit disconcerting that none of the freshman have been impressive thus far. Perhaps I'm expecting a bit to much from Guyn and Sanders but these two in particular really need to provide production off the bench if any of the starting guards are having an off night. Hopefully they can turn it on once the season starts.

The biggest concern that I have is that Gates has to play too many minutes. Once they get Mooj healthy it will certainly help. Did Parker play, or was he resting his injury as well?

It will help once we get Mbodj into the rotation.

Have heard the freshman had a pretty bad week at practice which is why the starters saw so much time. Mick felt the freshman didn't deserve to play. If they weren't trying to protect Cash's knee by limiting his PT, I doubt Guyn would have seen the floor a whole lot.

Parker did not play. Think it was mostly precautionary.

Mbodj didn't play again, and neither did Parker. Don't know if he was hurt or not, but he was in his warmups the whole game. Add those two in and things would have been different.

Jackson was awesome tonight. Really looking forward to seeing Mbodj play.

Mbodj has a sprained ankle that will keep him out for a while (including the opener). Parker injured his groin in the last game and as Subflea mentioned probably sat as precaution.

Depth will improve when Parker and Mbodj get on the floor. Right now I love our core five in Cash, Jackson, Yancy, SK, and Dixon but other than Guyn I don't care to see any of the freshman on the floor.

I was actually really encouraged by the shorter rotation because that is by far our strong point this year.

First of all, Cheikh will be back and starting soon, allowing Justin to come off the bench. And Parker is definitely going to see some time, especially if Dion and SK rebound as poorly as they did tonight. That right there is a 7 man rotation. Then you have Guyn backing up Cash and Sanders getting what he earns. 9 is more than enough.

We may not be a team that wears you down with depth this year. We are just going to be a team that beats you because we are better than you. Especially if Yancy is as good as he looked on the block tonight.

We definitely need to get SK going, but I can't say I'm too worried about that.

Jackson was impressive but it was NKU. His free throws were defiantly encouraging. I dont think I saw Parker play last night, any reason?
