Conference Realignment
I know WVU wants out and the Big East wants to keep them, but get this crap over with already. This crap is ridiculous and all parties need to move on with their lives.

Thanks. This hasn't been mentioned on here yet, and we really need a whole new thread about it.
The Big East cannot come up with a schedule for 2012 with only 7 teams. We're sad to see Pitt & Cuse leave, but at least they are willing to abide by agreements that were set up to prevent devastation to the Big East. A six-game conference schedule is impossible for all of us, and no current invitee is available for 2012. WVU should never have agreed to something that they knew was against their contractual obligations, and if they did, they're going to have to deal with the consequences. Suing the conference before it could even be discussed was absolutely the wrong thing to do and forced the Big East to dig in its heals more than it might have otherwise.
If the Big 12 cannot afford to go into the 2012 season with 9 teams, then the Big East can afford even less to go into the 2012 season with 7 teams. It's not about "the Big East wants to keep" WVU. It's about what is possible and what is impossible. All teams have a right to leave. And the conference has a right to enforce its agreements in order to maintain a modicum of order in the meantime.
