Heres my predictions:

West
#1 North Texas
#2 Denver
#3 Louisiana-Lafayette
#4 Arkansas State
#5 Arkansas Little Rock
#6 Louisiana-Monroe

East
#1 Middle Tennessee
#2 Western Kentucky
#3 Florida Atlantic
#4 Florida International
#5 Troy
#6 South Alabama

Your predictions??04-cheers

Heres a link to my college basketball preview.

College Basketball Preview 2011-2012

Im not sure about Denver finishing ahead of ULL or ASU either. I could see UNT depending on how Mitchell develops, but Denver's road history makes them tough to put there.

I have no problem with Denver being selected above UL because they return all five starters from last years team. I question his homework on UNT because they are going to be four new starters from what I've seen from last season.

Speaking of Denver. What will we do when they leave next year? Bring in an affiliate member just for basketball? I vote Missouri State.

NT will have things rolling come January. It may be a rough fall though while they get used to college ball and to playing with one another. I fully expect NT to win the west. In the east, I could see any of MTSU/WKU/FAU. Dahbeed will probably call me a moron, but I like Western to be top 2.

well....i did call the other guy that placed us at 2 retarded.

people are giving western respect due to past history. we have a moron for a coach. even though i'm a firm believer in talent over coaching even thomas at fiu can screw up talent. and we're not bringing in fiu or unt level talent.

and mcdonald is neck and neck with thomas as worst coach in our league.

you guys don't get it because you're not here. we could have a top recruiting class and he'll screw it up.

Wouldn't that be nice? I wonder if they'd laugh their a** off at the invite or just hang up on us.

I agree it could be a tough fall but once Sun Belt is in full swing North Texas will get it going.

Dahbeed if your not sold on them being #2 where do you think they land?

And South Alabama with Brock and cooks transferring it makes it hard for me to put them at 4 but they could get there. They do have a pretty good recruiting class coming in.

The USA backcourt is light year better with Cooks, Brock, Redus and Williams gone. Lots of addition by subtraction there. The new guys have D1 experience and were good to great players at the JC level. And are just better team guys.

Redus loves to talk trash, I'm looking foward to homeboy coming to the Dome this season.

DEAD LAST IN THE EAST.

KEN FREAKIN' MCDONALD. KEN 'I LOSE TO ULM' MCDONALD.

i know an outsider has no way of knowing what a knucklehead we have as a coach but I LIVE HERE and know what an idiota that he is.

you could give him unt's class and 3 tony mitchells and he could screw it up.

just for clarification in case you don't know. tony mitchell is better than any player EVER....EVER....EVER in the sun belt conference.

imagine 3 of those....he could ruin that.

here is the east:

fau: best coach in the east
mtsu: good talent with a mediocre coach keeps out of first
troy: i believe maestri has a bunch of 28 year olds again
south al: good athletes
fiu: good athletes
western: ken mcdonald

My mistake, left out the word "gone." Redus and his buddies have left USA and the team is much better for it.
Redus was a good dude and player his first year at South but that whole group underwent a change going into last season and it wasn't pretty.

USA's Augustine Rubit is the preseason player of the year in the Sun Belt and if he has improved any at all from last year then we are in for a treat. It appears USA will have some perimeter play this year, which was missing last year. The Sun Belt coaches knew we lacked the 3-point shot last year and took advantage of it. I look for us to be near the top of the league in rebounds, and with the addition of Trey Anderson we will have a good point guard that can dish it out and have a very good assist to turnover ratio. I'm actually excited about this season.

What do y'all think of TROY's team this year? We had a pretty good game against West Alabama. Our next game is against Texas Tech.

If I'm being honest, 5th or 6th in the East would be my guess for Troy.

We were picked to finish last in 08-09 and we ended up finishing 2nd in the east with an invite to the CBI. I'm not saying that will happen this year, but you never know. We need a good season leading up to the opening of Trojan Arena next season.
