Apparently it won't be in the form of an extra point.

Watching Akron play football makes me think of the phrase, "and there but for the grace of god go I".

Wagon wheel is ours and this is the fewest points allowed since 1949.

Sounded like we had a pretty good crowd at Akron today. Did we outnumber their fans?

The crowd was sparse. My guess is that there were probably about 6,000 to 7,000 actual butts in seats. Besides our band and administrative folks, my guess is we had maybe 1000 KSU fans there.

RE: Fea the oo
Are you kidding me? 6-7 K for a KSU-Akron game?

Would LOVE to see the numbers in the UA Athletic budget. FB has to be oozing red ink, even more so at other MAC schools. Don't know what the bond payback is on their new stadium, but have to believe it's more than 7K in seats. Even though we seldom do better, at least we know Dix is paid for.

Locked into the albatross of a big bond and paying for another 3 years for the wrong HC, Zips football is in one pile of poo. Nielsen, Kleinlein and company have the opportunity to lap them in the next few years. Go Flashes!

We'll see exactly how good they are when they visit Morgantown in a couple of weeks. Cheap talk will stop then, although the cheap excuses will be lined up in advance, I'm sure.

RE: Fea the oo
We are in for great battles between two good teams in KSU and Akron. Local, casual basketball fans get a dose of high quality BBall in both games.

And, yes, now we know the bar is set for the Zips in Morgantown. They need to win by 10 or more.

Also don't forget us and Akron versus CSU. Great local games to watch.
