"Camel clutch" sounds entirely too erotic for this discussion.
That said, missed face mask penalties is understandable, so is missed intentional grounding calls, missed pass interference calls, missed holding calls and a spot in the first quarter on our first drive that should have been reviewed, but wasn't unlike the spot Collaros would later have changed on him after that one "first down".
The officiating was pretty ******. They have a right to complain and so do we. Teams should decide the outcomes of games, not the zebras.

At the game its hard to see the missed pass interference calls and I'll admit that Tino got away w/ a few intentional groundings esp on the play that was reviewed. Problem was the play was reviewed for a fumble so you can't tack on a penalty there. Every team in America at every level gets away w/ holding so I wouldn't complain about that. And yes ref gave bad spots for both teams all night. Tonight was the worst Reffed game I've ever attended.

Great job, Bearcats. Though I admit to [not-so-] secretly rooting for Pitt in order to improve Louisville's chances.

It's a friggin joke to even try to blame this game on the officiating with the inept offense Pitt put on the field in the second half. Yinz are better then that.

RE: Cinci @ Pitt game thread
The officiating was not great last night. But the loss is squarely on Sunseri, As soon as he makes a mistake he is done. Once he fumbled he looked like the deer in the headlights. The fumble and the interception on successive series let Cinci back in the game and Tino looked awful after that. The kid has no ability whatsoever to shake it off and perform. The shame of it all was the defense played their hearts out last night. They have played well enough to win in 4 games only to see Sunseri fumble around, turn the ball over and produce nothing.

Your reading comprehension is horrendous. I didn't blame the refs on the loss.

Only 4 or 5 intentional grounding calls and numerous holding calls. But who's counting? UC won the game and the refs were not the reason why.

Good. I hope that really is the case. I'm sure it is. Maybe you can find some agreement the Pitt A.D. signed off on that said if they leave the conference then all future games will have all calls go against them.

RE: Cinci @ Pitt game thread
You are missing Joey's point. You can't ignore personal fouls because the safety of the players are involved. There were 3 face mask penalties all against our QB that should have been called. By not calling them, you'll see someone get hurt. I would like to see Pitt quietly point these oversights out to the BE office. They didn't cost us the game, but they might cost a kid his college career.

RE: Cinci @ Pitt game thread
I don't get a kick out of bad calls or no-calls. If I can't win fairly, the I'm not that into winning.
I won't comment on anything in this particular game because I wasn't able to watch it.
But I'll never forget the Pitt-WVU game when all WVU had to do was beat a mediocre Pitt the last game of the regular season and they'd be playing for the national championship. It was clear the BE refs were doing all they could to make that happen. And Pitt won anyway.
Louisville was the victim of a bad call in a BE game a few years ago that made the difference between a win/loss. Syracuse had one go their way just this season.
BE officiating is really, really bad and I hope that by the time the conference expands we do something to fix what's clearly broken. But until then, I don't consider bad officiating appropriate or funny.

RE: Cinci @ Pitt game thread
calls were missed on both sides of the ball...as noted Sunseri should have been called for intentional grounding four or five times and wasn't...
bottom line: UC won. they got it done. Pitt lost. they didn't
