RE: Is Boise on board?
To be fair, Boise AD did say they would not be rushed into a decision about the BE. But you have McMurphy tweeting the Broncos are all in and the deal will be done as of yesterday. Now if the invites have been sent and McMurphy is reporting everyone is all in then what is the holdup???

BYU jumped into the mix at the last minute to replace WVU. Since the new schools want to provide a strong sense of cohesion they will announce together.

Secondly nobody is going to make an announcement of any merit this weekend with the entire CFB world consumed by LSU/Bama.

The announcement will be made early next week.

RE: Is Boise on board?
Not buying that at all. It was known either WVU or UL would be leaving for the Big 12. Now if you want to say Boise has not committed because they want BYU in the mix then ok. But reports didn't say invites were contingent upon BYU joining.

You'll be saying early next week the announcement will be made later in the week. It's a vicious cycle I tell ya......simply vicious!!!

Lawyers are reviewing all the paperwork. Boise still working on getting other sports lined up (nothing final on that front). All schools would prefer to join together as they realize what is going to happen to their current conferences once they leave and they want to exit gracefully.

Darn guys, they voted to approve authority for Prez to enter into Big East. They are as good as gone, check their local paper IdahoSatesman or the guy who tweets for them, done deal. Just paperwork & maybe a little more sqeezing of JM's ballz. Finito.

Boise wants a western division WITH Western schools at least 4 besides Boise without that NO DEAL. BYU could go B12 and get more money and play in an all sports conference where the teams are much closer geographically, why do the Big East?

Paperwork??? How long does it take to finish paperwork??? It didn't take WVU, Pitt, or Cuse that long. Just sayin'.....

BSU just got their approval 2 days ago, the suits need to dot the i's & cross the t's; they are signing paperwork on 1) MtnWest exit fees, 2) getting other sports into a conference, 3) BE entry & exit terms & conditions (some can be negotiated); & 4) may also be pushing for certain western teams to be added. Factor # 5, BSU wants to make this appear to be a complex, thorough decision, when it's a no brainer for them. Factor 6, they want others to commit before they do.

As soon as they sign BE docs, they lose all negotiating leverage the now have w/ BE.

As far as things moving fast in BE, the only 2 things to move fast in the BE are 1) Marinatto in a buffet line & 2) any BE team which is invited to join another conference.

Ask Texas A&M and Mizzouri - and they didn't have to resolve the "other sports" issue.

As far as 'Cuse and Pitt, you don't know that.

The Big12 did not take BYU because of their TV network. So BYU has no opition to go to the Big12....that door has closed

How is their network different than UT? I would bet BYU would be a little flexible with their TV network if it would have got them in the Big 12.

BYU will not play on Sundays. The BIG12 also said there were "cultural" differences.

So no "cultural" differences with the Catholic schools?

I do not know how they defined “cultural” differences and can only speculate. However as long as BYU does not criticize BINGO I do not think there would be a problem, aAt least with the fan base. But it is probably FB only versus all sports

No offense intended, was just my sick humor I worked many Bingo's when I was active in the Knights of Columbus. Poit was that the fans of the Catholic shools would not care.

As far as 'Cuse and Pitt, you don't know that.

Mizzou is going through the protocol set forth by the SEC and Big 12 just like T A&M had to do. When everything is final, just like with A&M the SEC will they have invited Mizzou and the Tigers have accepted the bid. None if this crap the BE has been pulling, "oh the invites have been extended but we're not disclosing the invitees names blah blah blah oh and we are sure they will accept by Friday blah blah blah!"

As far as Pitt and Cuse goes, you and I may not know that but we do know the ACC didn't leak information and only made a public announcement once Pitt and Cuse were in the fold.

Boise State CAN go to the Big East.

But they never said they would yet, or if ever.

RE: Is Boise on board?
It has got to be more than just "paperwork" - you aren't making any sense when you say that.
TCU jumped at the chance to leave the Big East in SECONDS.

The truth is the Big East has problems - being left out of the BCS-next is one of them (though a possible inclusion if things go well.) WVU lawsuit is another problem; it still sucking up money, time (which is the most valuable of the three) and it looks bad/pathetic.

Mizzou, going? Staying? What's happening? Slows down the whole process.

Boise finding a parking space for the other sports - again slows down the process.

I'm not saying this isn't going to happen, I'm saying Big East has problems and nobody in a position of power (Boise, BYU etc) is going to say, "Your house is on fire and you want me to sit at your table before you put it out? COUNT ME IN!"
