I thought UCF, SMU, Houston and Boise were all going to announce together today.

Have the official invitations gone out?

Most that have said Friday were merely the media outlets that speculated that when they heard about the Thursday Boise meeting.

"UCF President John Hitt said he would be surprised if the Knights formally joined the Big East Friday, but he expects the school to resolve all conference affiliation questions within the next week."

Wonder if the PAC 12 may have gave Boise a call. I know they don't want them academically. But they are probably getting sick of having egg in their face about having a weak football conference and we all know they are the ones driving the super conference idea. Boise and BYU would be great fits regionally and both could be very competitive in football. If the PAC is looking at them as a possible move do they want to wait 27 months when they decide to pull the trigger.

No, the PAC-12 will be back for TEXOUMA soon when the time is right.

Boise St is still trying to finish up their search for a new conference for their non-football sports. That is the limiting factor right now. Once Boise St has those issues resolved, Boise St, UCF, SMU, and Houston will be officially announced by the Big East.

RE: So... when's the announcement, again?
So, Boise wants to switch conferences, but must find a home for their other sports, which looks hard to do.

They want to come but with the caveat that the Big East get another western school (in addition to SMU, Houston and AFA) for a western division. That's five schools.

I'm assuming that other school is BYU. BYU must give up their independence and TV rights as well as buy out future games to accommodate the Big East.

Will Boise come without BYU? Is AFA a done deal? Navy?

Does Louisville move to the Big East West to make a 6th team?

Questions, questions. Wish they'd announce today already!!!!

Some may be. I promise you, I'm not mocking. I have legitimate questions. I thought since Boise was supposed to announce with the other three that it was all a done deal.

Is it not? Sorry if you think I'm mocking.

Enough with the Pasta jokes. It's old.
It's better than the typical S. Miss. dish of Spam on White bread and fake cheese with pork rinds, moon pie and an RC cola.
No, Bugles don't count as a vegetable.
Chillax and find a different site.

RE: So... when's the announcement, again?
Im pretty sure its a thread to mock the "Facts" that some of those schools fans declared facts....seems i recall it being said "its happening Friday...Bank on it" like 20 times up until yesterday....seems if all those teams lawyers were working behind the scenes as much as has been said they wouldnt all look like idiots today...
