MAC Attendance
The announced attendance for Akron at Miami was 12,968. From what I saw on TV there may have been 100 people there.

The announced attendance for NIU at UT was 19,004. Looked more like 10K at most on TV.

EMU takes a lot of heat from the other MAC fans for creatively boosting ticket sales every other year just to stay in line with the stupid NCAA rules. The same fans ciritsize EMU in the years when EMU is reporting actual butts in seats and ends up with extremely low (but accurate) attendance figures. The perception that EMU lies about attendance could not be further from the truth.

I find this very frustrating because, in reality, every MAC school faces the same attendance issues as EMU. 03-banghead

I think UT had a late arriving crowd. Wasn't that game at 7?

I would have to agree with TheWoodenNickle on his views of the attendance for the Akron and NIU game (which I attended). There were no way under "God green earth" that there were close to 17,000 fans there. I also saw Shaq Joyner there watching the game.

This was my points on other threads about our recent games. EmuSteve had video of the crowd and people still would not believe. This goes to show that other schools are lying about their fan support when reporting totals.

I'm hopeful for tomorrow game with a strong showing for our fans..
