Texas State will have an initial bump from the fact that they're moving to FBS and it will be publicized, but within a few years, whether in the WAC or Sun Belt, their conference games wouldn't be viewed much differently by the average fans than Southland games.

This is very true. I get that all the time here in Atlanta. I have to explain to people who watch football that schools like FIU and Houston are FBS (I-A). They think of the Big 6 as Division I

This is very true. I get that all the time here in Atlanta. I have to explain to people who watch football that schools like FIU and Houston are FBS (I-A). They think of the Big 6 as Division I

The Big 6 are division 1 as are the schools that play in the black hole called FCS.

I think the average SEC fan knows, or at least many of them. I guess that would fall in the die hard catergory by default since they are SEC fans.

I really don't think what you are saying is true unless you concider the majority of college football fans as diehards.

And believe me I have had this conversation countless times. Thyee think the Big 6 are Div I and non AQ and FCS are Div II
