They do, or they would have moved to the Big 12 by now.

Everything but football is in the WCC. I think it's where Boise and AFA will end up as well, rather than the Big Sky.

WCC would need to bend to bring in boise, eastern catholic hoops school's might have some sway with the wcc though. If the wcc brought in boise + AFA along with byu, that's a pretty good league, might need one more, seattle u to get to 12.

The WCC are all private faith based insititutions. I don't see Boise in the WCC, maybe Air Force but my bet is neither.

Is the exit fee for Boise St. tied to their bowl appearance payout? I read somewhere it could be upwards of $20 M if they make a BCS bowl this year.

Big East takes Boise State, Air Force, etc.

Mountain West takes 1 of Utah State, San Jose State, or New Mexico State to get back to 8 - remember that Hawaii doesn't count in the eyes of the NCAA since they are a football-only member.

WAC takes 2 from the Big Sky to get 8 in football and 11 overall (and possibly adds a 12th in Cal State-Bakersfield), dropping the Big Sky to 9 overall and 11 for football. If the Mountain West takes 2 from the WAC, the WAC could take 3 from the Big Sky, dropping the Big Sky to 8 for all sports and 10 for football; it then makes more sense for the Big Sky to take the Big East football-only schools.

Lamar moving from the Southland to the WAC could help out the Big Sky slightly, but I think it would have happened by now if the WAC really wanted them.

Bigger picture is that we could be seeing the death of the WAC as the MWC could finish them off.
