What should be said at the BOT meeting
Remember the Movie Tuskegee Airmen. Remeber the reinactment of Benjamin O Davis speech.

Ours should go similiar to his like....................

All we ask for is a chance to prove ourselves. A fair and impartial oppurtunity. We thought we had a chance when you let us have a football program. But you invite us to a poker game, hand us a fixed deck and wonder why we can't win. Every student athlete carries the burden and dream of becoming a successful student athlete and the hopes of a entire people (fans, alums and students). Am I the only one in this room that understands just what that means. I was brought up to believe that, beneath it all, we are decent people with a abiding sense of integrity and fair play. As a fan and alumn who supports UAB student athletes who make there grades don't get in to off the field trouble and work hard and practice hard to be the best student athlete they can be. There is no greater conflict within. Student athletes ask themselves how do I feel about my University, and how does my University feel about me. Are they only to be student athletes when the mood suites you? A fair and impartial oppurtunity thats all they ask. Nothing that you yourselves wouldn't demand.

Or something like that.

Don't do anything that reflects poorly on UAB. Don't give anyone a reason to say, "See how they act?"

Stay classy. Stay polite. Being there en force will get your message across.
